Healing Process is a watercolor exploration of the colors a bruise passes through as it heals. What began as an abstract study of physical healing remained unnamed for years, until another work gave it a new context.
Healing Process: For the Kids
Dandelions thrive in some of the roughest, most damaged ground, much like survivors of domestic violence who find ways to endure, heal, and grow through incredibly difficult circumstances.
Healing Process: For the Kids explores what we carry through that healing and what we hope to leave behind for those who come after us. Like dandelion seeds carried by the wind, our children can find their way beyond the ground where we struggled to grow and into safer, more fertile places.
